Terms of Service

Service Area

HHI Inc. provides restoration and contracting services within Orange County and surrounding areas of Southern California. Availability for a given project depends on the location of the property and the nature of the loss. If a request falls outside our service area, we will let you know during the initial call rather than after a site visit.

Estimates and Work Authorization

Any estimate, quote, or scope discussion provided by phone, email, or in person is preliminary and does not create a binding obligation on either party. A project moves forward only once both parties sign a work authorization form, which becomes the governing document for that job: it defines the agreed scope, pricing, timeline expectations, and any conditions specific to the property. If conditions change once work begins (hidden water intrusion, additional structural damage, or materials requiring remediation beyond the original scope), we will document the change and obtain written approval before proceeding.

Payment Terms

Payment terms, including deposit amounts, progress billing, and final payment, are set out in the signed work authorization for each project. We accept standard payment methods discussed at the time of contract signing. Late payment may affect scheduling of future work. Any disputed charge should be raised promptly so it can be reviewed against the documented scope of work.

Insurance Coordination

When a loss is covered by a homeowner’s or commercial property insurance policy, we can document conditions, take photographs, and prepare the paperwork an adjuster typically requests. We coordinate directly with your carrier only with your written authorization. The property owner remains the policyholder and the party responsible for the insurance claim; our role is to support that process with accurate documentation of the work performed.

Scope of Work and Limitations

Our services are limited to those described in the signed work authorization and are performed in accordance with applicable California contracting regulations and industry drying and remediation standards. We do not guarantee outcomes that depend on factors outside our control, such as a structure’s age, pre-existing conditions, or decisions made by a property owner or insurance carrier after work is complete. Any warranty on completed work is stated in writing in the project documentation; verbal assurances made during an estimate are not a substitute for the signed agreement.

Dispute Resolution

If a disagreement arises over billing or scope, we ask that you contact us directly first so we can review the signed work authorization and supporting documentation together. Most issues can be resolved this way. Where a dispute cannot be resolved informally, the terms of the signed work authorization govern how it is addressed, including any venue or procedure specified in that document.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in how we operate. The version posted on this page at the time a work authorization is signed applies to that project.
