About HHI Restoration
HHI Restoration has served Orange since 2004. Meet our IICRC-certified restoration team. Licensed, insured, locally owned.
HHI Restoration opened its doors in Orange, California in 2004, at a time when most restoration work in the region was handled by small, informal crews with little standardization. The founders built the company around a simple premise: water, fire, and storm damage don’t wait for business hours, and homeowners dealing with a flooded kitchen or a smoke-damaged bedroom need a company that treats the technical side of drying and rebuilding with the same seriousness as the paperwork side of insurance claims. That focus on doing both halves of the job well, the physical restoration and the claims documentation, has shaped how the company has grown for two decades.
What we do
Most days start with a phone call from someone who didn’t expect to need us. A pipe let go behind a wall overnight. A washing machine hose split while a family was at work. A storm pushed water under a slab foundation. Because HHI Restoration operates on a 24/7 basis, that call gets answered whether it comes in at 2 p.m. or 2 a.m., and a crew gets moving toward the property instead of toward a voicemail box.
The work itself is part technical, part administrative. Moisture meters and thermal imaging tell us where water traveled, not just where it’s visible. Drying equipment gets placed and logged, then checked daily until materials read dry per IICRC standards, not just dry to the touch. At the same time, someone on our end is photographing damage, writing scope notes, and building the file that a homeowner’s insurance adjuster will eventually review. Property managers and commercial clients get the same treatment, just at a different scale, with more units, more stakeholders, and tighter timelines.
Our certifications and licensure
HHI Restoration is an IICRC Certified Firm, which means our technicians are trained and tested against the same industry standards for water damage (WRT), structural drying (ASD), fire and smoke restoration (FSRT), and mold remediation (AMRT) that insurance carriers and property managers expect to see referenced in a restoration file. These aren’t marketing badges; they’re the technical basis for decisions like how many air movers a room needs or when a dehumidifier can come down.
We also hold EPA Lead-Safe certification, which is a federal requirement for any contractor disturbing painted surfaces in homes built before 1978, common across many of the older neighborhoods we serve. Our technicians are OSHA trained for the hazards that come with structural damage, standing water, and demolition work. HHI Restoration is licensed in California under license #960721.
Where we work
Orange sits in the middle of a county with a wide range of housing stock, from postwar slab homes to newer construction with more complex plumbing and drainage systems. We work throughout Orange and the surrounding cities, responding to the kind of water intrusion, storm damage, and fire loss that shows up differently depending on a building’s age and construction. That local familiarity, knowing which neighborhoods have older cast iron plumbing or which areas see more runoff during heavy rain, shapes how quickly we can narrow down where a problem started.
